Final statement of Islamic Unity Conference: Liberation of Palestine, major issue in Muslim world

AhlulBayt News Agency: The second Regional Islamic Unity Conference has issued its final statement stressing liberation of Palestinian lands as the major issue in the world of Islam.

The closing meeting of the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference held in Gorgan on Wednesday afternoon was held as participants in the event highlighted the issue of Palestine on top of the final statement.
 
In part of the final statement the participants in this meeting expressed regret over those Muslims who tarnished the image of Islam by irrational ideas, words or deeds.
 
It condemned ISIL and Takfiri groups as example of prejudiced groups who excommunicated other Muslims to leave a legacy of destruction, threat and untrustworthiness in the world of Islam.
 
Shia and Sunni scholars in this meeting also slammed the sworn enemies of Islam for provocative and acts of hostility like desecration of Islamic sanctities, Qur’an burning and sacrilege of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
 
Participants in this meeting stressed the following in the final statement of the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference: 1- Necessity of maintaining constructive cooperation among Islamic denominations particularly among religious elites and scholars

2- Struggling in line with materialization of Islamic unity and revival of the unified Islamic ummah

3- Maintaining Jihad of explanation especially revealing the identity of extremist Takfiri (excommunication) groups

4- Popular struggle to introduce true Islam and preventing desecration of Islamic sanctities

5- Special attention to the liberation of Palestine as the major issue of Muslim world

6- Participants in this international meeting mark the contributions by pioneers of Islamic unity, mainly the martyrs and scholars late Imam Khomeini (RA), Fathi Shaqaqi, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, Ayatollah Mohammad Vaezzadeh among many others

7- Participants in this meeting offer condolences over death of many Muslims in Turkey and Syria in the recent earthquake and express readiness to deliver aids by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in collaboration with international organizations

8- Participants express gratitude over four decades of struggles by Ayatollah Seyyed Kazem Nourmofidi, flag bearer and role model of Islamic unity in Golestan Province World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought announced satisfaction for holding the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference in Golestan Province, cradle of culture and Iranian-Islamic civilization where the grounds for materialization of Islamic unity have been provided.
 
The second Regional Islamic Unity Conference ended its work on Wednesday evening as a number of Shia and Sunni scholars from Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan participated in the meeting.
 
The Regional Islamic Unity Conferences are held in line with the annual Islamic Unity Conference held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
